Welcome to a new feature on “There Once Was A Note”…Nobody’s Vault But Mine. The Album Reviews will remain on a separate page…they are exclusively for new music. You won’t find reviews on this page. Instead, these will be reflections on albums that changed my life as a music lover, and shaped my sensibilities as a guitarist. This isn’t a “list,” it’s not a “ranking” of the “best” albums. These are the albums that hit me like a wrecking ball, and those who know me already know that Neil Young’s “Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere” is my single favorite album of all time. The first thing you see when you enter the site is a quote from the album, and that was deliberate. It all busted wide open for me, with this album, in 1970. I hope you enjoy it, and I hope that some of my favorites are also favorites of yours.
